ASSAM
Assam is a state in northeastern India, south of the eastern Himalayas along the Brahmaputra and Barak River valleys. Assam covers a space of 78,438 km2 (30,285 sq mi). The state is lined by Bhutan and Arunachal Pradesh toward the north; Nagaland and Manipur toward the east; Meghalaya, Tripura, Mizoram and Bangladesh toward the south; and West Bengal toward the west by means of the Siliguri Corridor, a 22 kilometers (14 mi) wide segment of land that associates the state to the remainder of India. It is additionally one of the world's most crowded regions. Assamese is the authority and most normally communicated in language of the state, trailed by Bengali, which is true in the Barak Valley and Bodo which is true in Bodoland Territorial Region.
